Here's a look at what's on the schedule for next week:
Reading:
We will continue reading Pluto from Auggie and Me and continue working out of our workbooks. We will continue focusing on vocabulary and literary elements.
Social Studies:
We will continue Chapter 3: The East and will be focusing specifically on using reference materials and banking. We will also continue studying the 5th section of the States and Capitals.
Math:
-3rd Grade- Test on Friday! Comparing and ordering unit fractions with fraction strips and drawings, multiplying by 3, identifying units of mass and weight.
-4th Grade- Test on Thursday! Multiplying two 2-digit numbers, remainders in a word problem, mixed numbers and improper fractions , investigating fractions with manipulatives, decimal place, classifying quadrilaterals.
Spelling:
-3rd & 4th Grade-Test on Friday!
With 3 days out of the classroom this week, we will be using Homophones List 2 next week instead. See the list that is attached to the newsletter that is sent home on Fridays!
Handwriting:
-3rd- Lowercase cursive letters: n, m, y, x
-4th- Uppercase review

-6th Annual Cadillac Dinner-
It's that time of year again for St Raphael's biggest fundraiser! So dust off your dancing shoes and join us for an evening of fine dining, games, and a silent auction where you can bid on your beloved students' famous artwork! A complimentary social hour will begin at 6:00 pm. A delectable meal from Tommy's Central Street Steakhouse will be served at 7:00 pm. There will be a silent auction, wine pull, $500 cash raffle, door prizes and lots of exciting games! Live entertainment will be provided by American Bootleg, a Twin Cities Cover Band.
Tickets are on sale for $45.00-you can buy them after Masses, from any of our committee members or from the school office.

March orders will be due Wednesday, March 28.

Reminder of how the Penny Bomb works:
Students bring PENNIES to drop in their class bucket and SILVER COINS or BILLS to drop in the other class's buckets.
The bucket with the most pennies at the end of Lent will win a prize from Principal Fischer!
